Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American British musician and sitarist. She was the first woman within her age bracket to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka is a emerging star of Indian sitar. She is the student of Ravi Shankar as well as his daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded back and forth from London in the UK to New Delhi. Her debut performance was at New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. After that, she moved in Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. The career of Anouskha as a performer and recorder is remarkable, even at her youth. She has been accompanying her father on stage for many years. She released her first solo album Anourag in the year 1998. In 2002, she released her Grammy Nominated Live at Carnegie Hall. The stage is a very important aspect of her life.
